Sapporo Travel Good Information (2023)

 

 

Sapporo is the central city of Hokkaido Island, located in the northernmost part of Japan. It is also famous for snow festivals in winter, but summer is also a place where many tourists visit because of the cool weather. Sapporo is loved by men and women of all ages because of its delicious food, beer, and hot springs. I went with my friends for 4 nights and 5 days during this summer vacation, and I would like to share some tips that I experienced and felt.

 

Please recommend a Sapporo hotel!

There are a lot of hotels in Sapporo, but I'll introduce you to the most cost-effective hotels. First, it is the premium Sapporo Annex Hot Spring, a sea bream located near Susukino Station. This is a new hotel that opened in November last year, so the facilities are very clean and the breakfast is famous. There is an open-air bath in the room, so it's perfect for healing while relieving the fatigue of the day. But the downside is that it's a little far from the station. It takes about 15 minutes on foot. Next is Montore Edelhof Sapporo, located near Odori Park, which is popular because of its accessibility and neat interior. Lastly, Jozan K-View Hotel & Spa was close to the airport bus stop and the sauna facility using natural hot spring water was excellent, so it was a good hotel to take my parents.

 

 

Is there a famous Sapporo restaurant?

Crab dishes are the best in Sapporo! There are various kinds of crab, king crab, and king crab, and we had a course meal at a restaurant called Kanihonke. The course includes crab meat soup, salad, sashimi, grilled, fried, sushi, shabu-shabu, and dessert, and I think it was about 80,000 won per person. It was so delicious that I almost cried. The second one was lamb Genghis Khan, and Daruma is the most famous restaurant. The wait is long, but the taste is guaranteed as long as you wait. The third one was a miso ramen restaurant in a building called Ramen Republic, but I can't remember the name. But it was really delicious! The fourth is a revolving sushi restaurant called Sushi Janmai, which has a Korean menu and is open 24 hours a day, so I could go there anytime. The fifth one was convenience store hair, but Lawson convenience store mochi roll cake, egg sandwich, and pudding were all delicious. The sixth one was Otaru Lethao cheesecake, but it melted in my mouth. The seventh was lunch during the VI Furano tour. I ate curry udon and it was good because it was a lot. The eighth one was Baristat Coffee Cafe Latte. It was savory and soft because it was made by a latte art master. The ninth one was Kitakaro Custard Bread, which was full of cream and crispy on the outside. The tenth was strawberry tart and melon pudding that I bought at the Daimaru Department Store's underground food hall. Both are sweet, so it's well charged with sugar.

 

 

Is there any place to visit near Sapporo?

 

I applied for the B.A. Furano tour and went there. It was nice to be able to go and come back comfortably without renting a car and leave a lot of pretty pictures. However, I recommend you to go on a sunny day because the scenery is not good when it rains.

The prices of medicines such as Copper PAS, Sharon PAS, and Rest Time that everyone buys in Japan vary widely from drug store to drug store, so please compare them and buy them. Don Quixote is cheap, but it takes a long time to pay because there are so many people. If you want to shop leisurely, you can go to the drugstore of chain stores such as Daiko Kudrug Store or Matsumoto Kiyoshi. I personally recommend Biore Sunscreen and Perfect Whip Foam Cleansing. Please note that you need to purchase more than 5,000 yen to get tax-free.

 

 

How is the weather in Sapporo?

 

Sapporo is higher in latitude than Tokyo, so it's not that hot even in midsummer. The daytime highs are around 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, so it's perfect to wear a thin long-sleeved shirt. However, the temperature drops sharply when the sun goes down, and the daily temperature difference is severe, so I recommend you to take your outerwear.
